White House Asks Facebook Users to Pick a Turkey to ‘Pardon’ for Thanksgiving

Gobbler or Cobbler: Which turkey do you want pardoned? The White House is asking Facebook users to help decide the fate of two Thanksgiving birds.

But fear not -- the duo won't be dinner. Rather, the winner with the most votes will be dubbed "National Thanksgiving Turkey," while the loser will be his alternate, according to a White House blog post.

"No turkeys will be harmed during the selection of the National Thanksgiving Turkey," Erin Lindsay, deputy director of online engagement for the Office of Digital Strategy, wrote on Tuesday.
